Bolliger & Mabillard
Bolliger & Mabillard, or B&M, is one of the most influential coaster manufacturers ever. When you think of 'rollercoaster,' you probably think of that classic 200+ foot structure with hill after hill. That model is produced by B&M!
Models
Hypercoaster
The B&M hypercoaster is a classic model known for its large amount of hills and imposing height.
Despite the name 'hypercoaster,' B&M hypers aren't always actual hypers. Most of these hypercoasters are within 200-299 feet. However, there are some outliers. Such as mini-hypers, which are close to 200 feet but not quite there. Leviathan, Orion, and Fury 325 are all gigacoasters, but classified as the B&M hypercoaster model.
Dive Machine
The B&M Dive Machine is a very popular model. These coasters always feature a large, vertical or beyond vertical drop. (There is one exception, as due to issues with the development of spring-loaded wheels, Oblivion at Alton Towers (which also happens to be the FIRST B&M dive!) has an 87.5 degree drop.)
These rides can range from megacoasters to gigacoasters, and can feature inversions.
Inverted Coaster
The B&M Inverted Coaster is one of the most influential models ever, this was a engineering breakthrough!
These coasters feature trains under the track, wheel assemblies located above the train instead of below. This is very intimidating to the average rider (for some reason.)
B&M Inverts are very common and can be found at nearly every chain-owned amusment park. ESPECIALLY Six Flags, they FILLED their parks with Batman clones (a heavily cloned B&M Invert layout) in the 90s-early 2000's.
